DIY Monograms

Design-it-yourself monograms~
Hey there!

As i've said in my last post, my next assignment is to design our own monograms, so here are what i came up with:

Well, after that i decided to finalize down 10 monograms:

LW, as in Li Wei, my name (pft obviously)

Upon letting my curious classmates see the final 10, they all individually liked this one, strangely they all seem to have the same taste o-o *heheh sry if that sounded offending guys* -///-

After showing Miss Lisa, she placed her favour on 2, ↑ and ↓

I, was mildly sad, just mildly, because i really liked this one :(

Ah well, honestly i liked every single one anyway xD
except the one i did cross-hatching on, that turned out wrong ._.
So on the next day -assuming that up there ↑ is monday-, we worked on finishing our monograms and started test cutting them out on a piece of plastic sheet (for stenciling) we were asked to bring.

Oh, almost forgot to mention, we had the monograms printed out in different sizes so that we would have different sizes to match the items we would stencil on. Mmmheheheh next week (1st week of April) is our mid-sem break yayyy! (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ･ﾟ•✧○
We were tasked with researching stenciling and to decide on what to stencil so that we can commence operation STENCIL DAT OBJECT! nah, i made that up :P but yeah, we're gonna start stenciling after the holidays. hmmmmmmmm i guess:

G'Day. :O

First off I apologize for not posting anything before this.. was really busy with an excursion to Tioman Island on the 14th-17th. Why didn't i post anything earlier after that? Well, simply put, my phone had a little dip when i went snorkeling. The worst part was I hadn't even realised i left it in my pocket until i was in the water after coming out 2 times, so in total, it went in the sea 3 times. aaahhhhh its depressing thinking about my little blunder.
After bringing it to the shop, autopsy reported fungus had grown inside my phone... It probably drowned in all that salt water, it's last moments forgotten in my pocket. RIP my little Samsung Galaxy Pocket. ); Good news is at least my memory card survived ._. even though i was dumb enough to just keep all my other stuff saved in my phone memory, at least the pictures taken with my phone camera went straight into my memory card.
So here are the pictures! Sad to say i didn't take any progress photos though, since we were focusing on cutting all those letters out most of the time.

Well, this all happened before our excursion, on the 12th. I wonder if it's all still there in class :O We didn't have 2D classes this week so it didn't cross my mind to check ._. Because after the presentation, everyone played with the games and took lots of photos, then Miss Lisa said we could put it in a corner of the room. Hopefully the campus cleaners didn't throw them out D:

After all that i almost forgot to mention, Miss Lisa gave us an assignment: creating our own Monograms. We had to come up with 10 designs by the next class, which is tomorrow, so i ain't gonna spoil it, i'll post my designs after. :P

Group Assignment

HEY THERR (CAPS WILL RULE THE WORLD >:3)

Well it's time for group assignments~ (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ･ﾟ•✧○  This time its a whole class collab i'm so excited to see the outcome sdwaoiruhgewogiurhegojfepohehgr ...ahhh please excuse that horrible mess, i needed to get the excitement outta my system >_>
In short, our project is gonna be a whole class theme where we decorate the class with paper (not the whole class, but u get the idea). After much suggestions, voting, and disscusions, we finalized the main theme as 80's Nintendo's Games, or old school games specifically. Our colour theme is white while the main material would be white paper, or other materials if circumstances require.

After deciding which games we wanted to work on displaying: Mario, Pacman, Tetris ← these 3 will be window displays while: whack-a-mole and air hockey ← will be table displays, and there will be a life-size checkerboard on the floor.

As i'm in the group in charge of signages, we get to review what signs the rest of the groups have come up with for their games and decide if we agree on it, and then work on it. So far, we've started working on Mario's sign:

i would've taken a better angle (straight from the top) if i was tall enough, which i obviously wasn't -_-
Anyway, Denny and Ajiem found the font and mario pic online, then Miss Lisa helped with getting it arranged on A4. Then it was printed in the library and we worked on cutting it out. I didn't take much pictures ..because i forgot D:< Well, next time i'll be sure to take as many as i can!! Further progress will be posted, after further progress is made i guess xD
