Self Portrait -2D design in class activity-

Hey there! And I'm back~ :D After about a month (or 2) of blog-free posts, my mind feels a little uncertain about what to write -though i do have a lot to write about in a way >_>

Anyway, it's a new year! -woot- happy new year everyone! :D or rather.. Chinese New Year seeing as it's February already (so fast :O) And it's my second semester here already, at Taylor's Uni. Time flies, really fast o-o Next thing u know i'll have finished this semester and have to decide what to major in, and i am currently wavering between multimedia or graphic design. I might pick multimedia though. Or graphic maybe? I don't know. ahhh it's so perplexing D:

well, i'm sure no one's interested in this self-conflict nonsense i'm currently facing so- onward! to the picture of my first 2D assignment! which pretty much had the same requirements as the 1st PoD assignment we had.

yup, not very self portrait -ish i guess... my friends even commented that it looks like it has antlers ...well i'm sorry if it doesn't look like me, at all. QnQ *sobs at epic fail in corner* -ahem- it's more on concept than it is portrait-iy. This portrait portrays the me around last year March till July. It was before i joined FID and had little to no direction in what to study after SPM.

The face, which has lots of random words, represents the fact that i took sub-science during my last 3 years in SMK or known as high school. Sub-science's main subjects are physics, chemistry, accounts and add-maths. Which i later regretted taking seeing as after SPM i leaned more towards the arts side than the sciences.
The eyes, which is actually holes, punctured by my markers, is actually inspired by a photo that has been circulating facebook recently. The 10x magnified image of an eye is seared into my mind as i'm fascinated yet akwardly disturbed by the fact that the black part of the human eye is in actual fact- a hole. A HOLE. O_O

kinda traumatizing :(
My 'hair' -2 parts, where the colourful parts represents my memories- happy ones, sad ones, angry ones, exciting ones, ones of me and my brother head-butting each other countless times (we were just weird little kids, yep :| ), embarrassing ones, weird ones, unforgettable ones, and even ones long forgotten. ahh memories.. such precious things they are :) The blue yarn part, which i found a whole bunch of just lying around on the table i sat at in class, represents not just mine, but everyone's -the mind. Blue colour because it's what colour the yarn was (nahh i'm kidding) just like the sky, the mind's imagination is as wide, and just like the ocean, it's as deep and mysterious, filled with endless possibilities, always inventing new things, the mind is just so intriguing.

AH DARN D:< i think i wrote too much... it looks like an essay now D: guess i'll end it here then.
Till next post. Baiiiiiii~
